Converts one document using JSON-compatible values and string mapping keys. Numbers that would change during conversion, negative zero, nonfinite values, timestamps, binary data, sets, ordered maps, pairs, merge keys, cycles and unknown tags are rejected. Quote values only when text is intended; this changes their type. Ordinary aliases are expanded for JSON. Comments, quote style and numeric spelling are not retained. Limits: 2 MiB of text, 50,000 expanded values and 100 nesting levels.
How to use YAML Editor Online
- Paste one YAML document into the editor. The JSON preview updates after each edit.
- Choose the indentation width, then use Format to replace the source with normalized YAML. Comments and original styling are not retained.
- Resolve any syntax, unsupported-value or conversion-limit error. An error leaves the source text available for correction.
- Copy YAML copies the current source editor text. It does not copy the JSON preview.
